Which bike trailer should I choose?

Bring the little ones along on adventures
All Hamax trailers can be equipped with a baby seat, allowing them to be used from birth. During this period, however, we recommend using the trailer only as a stroller – not as a bike trailer.
Seats
Seat comfort varies between the models. Outback Next, Outback and Cocoon feature thick seat padding for extra comfort on both short and long trips. Breeze has heat-pressed padding in the seat back, providing good support with a lightweight and durable design. Traveller does not have additional seat padding.
All models, except Traveller, are available with either one or two seats. Traveller is only available as a two-seater.
Storage space
When you are out and about, you often need a bit of extra storage – whether it’s a beach bag, shopping bags, or items you need on the way home from daycare. That’s why the spacious storage area in Outback Next, Outback, and Traveller is very practical. Outback Next has the largest capacity and can carry up to 8 kg, while Outback and Traveller can carry up to 5 kg behind the seats.
Others may prefer smaller and more agile trailers. Cocoon and Breeze feature removable bags or backpacks with a capacity of up to 2 kg. This provides a more compact solution that is easy to take with you when you park the trailer.
Adjustable seat back
If a child gets tired along the way, the seat back can be adjusted so they can rest more comfortably. Outback Next and Outback have a solution where both seats recline at the same time. On Cocoon and Breeze, the seats can be adjusted individually, allowing one child to rest while the other continues sitting upright and enjoying the surroundings.
Outback, Cocoon and Breeze can be reclined in three positions, while Outback Next offers four positions for even more flexible adjustment.
Traveller does not have adjustable seat backs.
Suspension
Good suspension contributes to a more comfortable ride for the children, especially on uneven surfaces. Outback Next, Outback, Cocoon and Breeze have adjustable suspension on the rear wheels, allowing you to adapt the damping to the weight and terrain.
Outback Next also features suspension in the front wheel, which is unique to this model and provides extra comfort when strolling.
Traveller comes without suspension.
Replaceable outer fabric
Outback Next features a replaceable outer fabric and front window. This makes it easy to refresh the trailer if the fabric becomes worn and can help extend the product’s lifespan.
On the other models, only the front cover can be replaced.
Features and practical solutions
All trailers can be easily folded for convenient transport and storage. Outback Next also features a new folding mechanism with a lock that keeps the trailer securely closed when carrying or storing it.
All models are equipped with a parking brake, insect net, sunshade and front window. On Outback Next, the front has been further developed with two zippers and a magnet in the middle that attaches to the frame, making the front window easier to open and close.
Outback Next and Outback have an infinitely adjustable handlebar, Cocoon and Breeze have telescopic handlebars, while Traveller can be adjusted in two positions. Cocoon also features a handlebar with vegan leather.
Cocoon and Breeze have an integrated brake on the handlebar. Outback has a brake when the terrain wheel is mounted, while Outback Next can be equipped with a disc brake kit used together with the terrain wheel for jogging.
Breeze and Cocoon feature smart storage for the bike arm and stroller wheel under the trailer, as well as a swivel lock on the front wheel.
Outback Next uses a different solution where the stroller wheel can be pushed under the trailer. It also has an air-filled stroller wheel with suspension and a swivel lock, along with a solid and sealed base that protects against snow, slush and rain.
In summary
Outback Next, Outback, Breeze, Cocoon and Traveller are all safe and reliable choices. The models offer different features and functions, so the most important thing is to choose the trailer that best suits your needs and how you plan to use it.
